48 Cavity PET Preform Injection Moulding
The 48cav PET preform mold is designed for large-scale preform production needs in industries such as bottled water, beverages, daily chemical packaging, etc. The mold core/cavity is made of high-quality S136 mold steel, undergoes vacuum quenching and precision polishing, achieving a hardness of 50-54 HRC and a mirror-level surface finish. It makes injection-molded PET preforms with uniform wall thickness, neck-part burr-free, and high transparency, matching the production standards of various PET containers, such as mineral water bottles and carbonated beverage bottles. The efficient 48-cavity layout, combined with a precise hot runner temperature control system, enables multi-part molding and simultaneous molding. For example, with a 15g weight and 28mm diameter (neck model: 1881), compared to traditional 24-cavity molds, production efficiency increases by over 60%, and the production cost per product is reduced by over 56%.
We support custom molds for different PET preform structures and weights, are compatible with various injection molding machine models, and accommodate diverse requirements for subsequent blow-molded PET bottle diameter and height.

How To Control Mold Temperature?
During the mold injection molding process, the hourly flow rate and temperature of the chilled water of the chiller should be adjusted according to the actual production products, such as bottle caps, preforms, etc..It is to fully cool the mold energy due to the energy carried by product molding and generated by friction inside the mold, so that the energy of the mold heating and the energy of the chilled water cooling reach a balance state, to extend the service life of the mold and maintain its stability. In production, it is necessary to consider the characteristics of product materials comprehensively (PE, PP, PET, etc.), such as density, melting point, specific heat capacity, product molding shrinkage ratio, etc. and production processes, such as: injection molding machine parameter adjustment, whether there is recycled material in production, and the proportion of recycled materials, etc. to control the heating temperature of raw materials.
